The Great Career of Indian Poker Legend Santhosh Suvarna

Santhosh Suvarna, a thriving entrepreneur, has made a mark in the world of high-stakes poker tournaments, accumulating an impressive $5.7 million in live cash. His standout achievement in 2023 occurred at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Monte Carlo.

Suvarna had a short stack, to begin with, but he still managed to bounce back and secure himself a second-place finish.

Although he faced an unfortunate turn of events leading to a setback, he secured a decent third-place finish, managing to claim a staggering $1.77 million (~₹14.76 Crores) in prize money.

He achieved a big feat, he not only earned the title of the highest-earning Indian in Live Poker but also came close to Vivek Rajkumar's record which he achieved in 2019 Triton Million for Charity triumph, Suvarna became the second-largest score in Live Poker.

Suvarna is based in Bengaluru, he initially won most of his Poker tournaments from his native place. In 2022 Suvarna was a known commodity in Poker.

He is a regular player in the Triton poker series where he won his major career title winning $25,000 GG Super Million$ Live in Kyrenia, Cyprus. He took home $700,000 for this result.

Suvarna achieved a big feat in October 2023, finishing third in the $132,500 Triton Main Event in Monte Carlo for $1,772,000

Next month he won his first bracelet in the WSOP by winning the €50,000 Diamond High Roller at the WSOP Europe for €650,000.

Suvarna captured his first European Poker Tour title at the PokerStars EPT Paris festival in February 2024. He came out on top in the final €25,000 No Limit Hold'em Event of the series and took home €348,860 for his efforts.

Santhosh is currently involved in the Triton poker series in Montenegro, where he is battling against the best of the best, till now he has made a steady start to his campaign.
